This is your guide to the things you can do inside your SproutSpace. If something needs a parent setting, the guide will tell you.

Using your SproutSpace
How do I open my Space?Your parent can give you a child username and password just for your Space.
Enter the username and password your parent created for you, on your own Space address, then choose Open my Space. If child login is disabled, ask your parent to enable it; your saved work is not erased.
If you forget them, ask your parent. Your parent can update your sign in from the Parent Dashboard.
Your name and Child appear in the Space toolbar when you are using your child account. If it says Parent, your parent is using their own account to help or review. Ask them to enter as you when you want to use your child controls.
Writing and Tracing StudioChoose words, hear them, speak them, trace them, print them, and watch your practice grow.
Writing Studio lets you choose a practice word or short phrase. Your parent can also allow you to type your own words.
Choose how it looks
You can practice with School Cursive, Elegant Script, Print Practice, or Kindergarten Print when those choices are available to you.
Hear the word
Choose Hear word to have your device read the current word or phrase aloud.
Trace on screen
Choose Trace on screen to practice by tracing on your device. Use your finger, stylus or mouse to draw over the light letters. Undo removes the last stroke; Clear removes the drawing; Start Over begins a new attempt. Done requires some tracing first, then shows how closely you followed the letters, how much of the word you covered and neatness. Try Again starts another attempt, Keep Practicing lets you continue, and Close returns to Writing Studio. Scores and recent attempts are saved privately when allowed.
Print practice
Choose Print practice page when you want to practice on paper.
Speak to spellSay a word or short phrase instead of typing it.
Choose Speak to spell and allow microphone access if your browser asks. Say one word or a short phrase. SproutSpace can show more than one choice when your browser hears a few possibilities.
The voice tool listens for a short answer. It stops after a few seconds and does not save an audio recording in your SproutSpace.
If the microphone is blocked or your browser does not support voice recognition, you can still type the word.
Math LabSolve problems, build a streak, and keep a history of your rounds.
Your parent chooses which kinds of math and number ranges are available. Math Lab can use addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or a mixture chosen for your Space.
You may see Practice or Challenge mode, different question styles, themes, and sometimes a timer. Choose an answer button, or type your answer and choose Check answer or press Enter. Empty answers prompt you to enter an answer; zero is a valid answer when the problem equals zero.
Choose Say the problem if you want the current problem read aloud.
After checking an answer, take your time to read it. Choose Next question when you are ready, or See my round after the last answer.
If you have a timer, choose Start timed practice to begin. Use Pause timer whenever you need a break. It also pauses when you leave Math or switch browser tabs. Choose Resume when you come back. If you answer nothing, your progress stays the same.
After a round finishes, choose Play another round or Back to activities. A new round does not start automatically. If saving fails, use Retry before replaying.
Your progress area keeps track of your Math rounds when progress is enabled.
Create a Math worksheetTurn the Math settings you are already using into paper practice.
If your parent allows worksheet printing, choose Print worksheet in Math Lab.
- Choose how many questions you want. You can enter from 1 through 200, and 15 is the starting choice.
- Choose whether you want an answer key.
- Choose Create preview.
- Look over the exact questions that will print.
- Choose Generate new questions if you want a different set.
- Choose Print this worksheet when it looks right.
4-H ProjectsPlan your project and record what really happened while you still remember it.
Start a project with the project title, year, project area, club or county information, dates, notes, and goals that fit your project.
As you work, add records for the things you actually did. A record can include what you did, what you learned, participation, quantity, unit, hours, expense, income, number of people reached, items contributed, a photo caption or reminder, and your own reflection.
Your project page keeps the goals, timeline, records, and record book readiness together so you do not have to rebuild the whole year from memory later.
Sharing and trusted peopleYour parent controls whether you can see, request, or manage any sharing actions.
A trusted person might be a grandparent, teacher, close friend, or 4-H leader. Your parent decides who can enter your Space and what that person is allowed to see.
If your parent allows requests, you can ask for a new trusted connection. Your request does not give anyone access by itself. Your parent must approve or reject it and choose the permissions.
If your parent allows limited management, you may be able to pause an approved connection. Parent rules still decide what happens next.
Who can see my Space?Your Space is protected, and your parent controls trusted access.
Your Space is not something you have to make public just to share it with someone you know. Your parent can create a secure link or QR code for a trusted person and can choose which parts of your Space that person is allowed to open.
If you ever wonder who has access, ask your parent or open Sharing if your parent has allowed you to see connection status.
Something is not workingTry the easy things, then ask your parent when a setting or account change is needed.
- If an activity says it is resting, choose Retry.
- If voice entry does not work, check that the browser has microphone permission.
- If an activity or worksheet button is missing, your parent may need to check Activity Settings.
- If you forgot your username or password, ask your parent to update it.
- If a trusted person cannot open something, ask your parent to check that connection's permissions.
My Gallery: photos, albums and commentsKeep photos and find the moments you want.
Choose My Gallery in Activities. Add photos lets you choose files or use a camera when your device and parent allow it. If a button is missing, ask your parent to check your Gallery permissions or family storage.
Search photos finds matching moments. Album chooses All photos, Favorites, Not in an album or one of your albums. Sort photos changes the order. If no photos match, clear the search or choose All photos; your saved photos are still there.
Choose New album when organization is allowed. Enter a name that is not already used for one of your albums. Open a photo to set its title, caption, date, album, tags, Favorite and image description, then Save details. Use the description to explain the picture to someone who cannot see it.
When allowed, leave a kind comment, reply to one, or choose a reaction. Type a real comment before Post; spaces do not count. Download is available only when your parent allows it. Your parent can stop comments and reactions for a photo. Closing a photo does not save unsaved detail edits.
Ask a parent before deleting something you may want to keep or giving someone a link to your Space.
Blockiversity: learn, earn and buildChoose a world and keep your learning time growing.
Choose Open Blockiversity in Activities. Choose your character in the lobby and enter a Family World to build with your family, or your personal world when available.
Your saved time is called Blockiversity Credits. A correct Math or Spelling answer earns one credit: two minutes of play. Wrong answers do not remove time. Your parent chooses challenge levels and the maximum time you can save. The learning/time button opens challenges; when time runs out, learn to earn more. You are safe from Mosslings while learning.
On a keyboard, move with W A S D, jump with Space, drag to look, hold left click to gather, and right click to place. On touch devices use the movement/look controls and BREAK, JUMP, PLACE, ATTACK and CRAFT buttons. Switch camera with C or the camera button.
Game Menu offers emotes, camera, Choose another world and Back to SproutSpace. The map shows where you are; the clock shows world time. Parent rules can change teleporting, adventure behavior and which worlds you can enter.
For the full guide, choose Blockiversity Help. If the world stays blank, ask your parent to try a browser or device with working 3D graphics. You do not need to delete your Space to fix a display problem.
Activity Settings, saved work and missing buttonsYour parent decides which controls you can use.
If your parent delegates settings, Activity Settings appears for the allowed activity. Only the controls delegated to you can be changed; adult account, billing, permanent deletion and sharing authority remain with your parent.
Your writing attempts and completed Math rounds can appear in My progress. Finishing a round saves it privately when saving is allowed. If saving fails, use Retry before starting another round. Paper worksheets do not add a round or score.
If uploading or saving is blocked because storage is full, ask your parent. All children share the family's storage allowance. Do not erase someone else's work to make room.
